Charles Robert Ryder born December 8, 1932 has changed his address from Conklin to Heaven above on the morning of December 25, 2021. He was a graduate of Providence/Barrington Bible College and SUNY Oneonta. He also spend summers in Mexico furthering his education. Charles taught 6th grade at Windsor Central School District for more than 30 years and a member of the Good Shepherd Angelican Church. He enjoyed spending time in his garden, traveling, entertaining . and eating out with friends. He was an accomplished in cross stitch, his talents created many outstanding and beautiful pieces which were made by his own patterns. Charles was a published author of two books about religion which he shared with many people. He was the pianist for Sunshine Valley Wesleyan Church for many years where he also taught Sunday School and Bible School. He was predeceased by his father Sherman “Benny” Ryder and mother Florence Whitenight Ryder, sisters, Viola Hawley and Betty Keiser, brother, Melvin Ryder and a very good friend James Woodridge. Charles is survived by niece, Patricia Hawley Grant, Lakewood, California, nephew, Harold LaRue Hawley, West Seneca, New York, cousin, Aileen and Michael McGrath, Rochester, New York. He also leaves behind several other nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, May 31, 2022 at the Anglican Church of the Good Shephard, 360 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton with the Reverend Matthew Kennedy officiating. Charles will be interred in Blatchley Cemetery.
