Charles H. Burrell, Jr.

March 8, 1995 — September 15, 2024

Loving father and devoted son, Charles H. Burrell, Jr. “CJ or Ceege”, 29, left us unexpectedly as a result of a car accident, Sunday, September 15, 2024. CJ always loved unconditionally and to his fullest. He was smart, funny, kind and caring. CJ was always full of life and the life of any party. When life knocked him down, he got right back up and tried again. He would always go to his grandmother’s and mother’s to check on them eager to help them any way he could. Before he left his mother’s house he would kiss her forehead and smell her hair. When leaving his Dad’s he would say “I love you Pops” and give him a hug and a kiss. CJ was born in Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton and was a graduate of Johnson City High School. He attended SUNY Delhi on a track scholarship majoring in auto body and mechanics. CJ enjoyed playing football, fishing, collecting knives and whittling. He had a very creative side which led to CJ producing and recording his own music and tagging. CJ also participated in power lifting ranking at one point third in the nation.

His sister Alisha was asked to write a favorite memory of her brother- “ I don’t have just one, all our memories are my favorite, Bro you always been Everyone’s road dog, the back bone the peacemaker. CJ you always stayed ten toes down for your family and friends and most importantly for your son, you would always tell me never forget the village someone is always listening, just speak up.”

He is predeceased by his grandparents, Frederick and Nancy Burrell, Sr., great grandmother, Joyce Kleine, uncle, Brad Gates and niece, Chardonnay Burrell McNeil. CJ is survived by his son Charles H. Burrell, III, parents, Andria Kleine and her significant other, Poncho McPeek, his father Charles Burrell and his significant other Marcella Lagano, sisters Alisha Burrell, Brooke Jackson, Destiany Kleine-Hill, Corrine and TJ Scott, Alizae McPeek, brothers; Charles Rigo, Damion Burrell, Brandon McPeek, Gabreil McPeek Seth Jaworski and Gunnar Jaworski.
