Barbara Jean Blakeslee

Our loving mother Barbara Jean Blakeslee, 83, went with the angels to be with her Lord and Savior, March 24, 2020. She slipped away peacefully with her daughters by her side. Barbara was a joy to her family. Everyone wanted to be at her house just to talk, laugh and play games (Euchre, Parcheesi and Yahtzee). She loved to travel and was an avid New York Mets fan. Barbara lived her life to the fullest and enjoyed every minute with her family. She took great pride in her work and was proud to have been a United States Postmaster and Real Estate Agent with ERA Decker. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Maude Blakeslee, sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and John Marecek, brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Cynthia Blakeslee, sister-in-law and travel partner, Elnora “Pat” Blakeslee, son-in-law, Richard Smith and her precious pet, Jordie Boy. Barbara is survived by her children; Vickie Hill, Patti Chaffee, Michael and Penney Chaffee, Tammy Smith, Shelley and Eric Jensen, treasured grandchildren; Coe Hill, Tracey Smith, Rebecca Gentile, Adam Smith, Samantha Bensley, Elizabeth Jensen, 13 great grandchildren and brother, Gordon Blakeslee. She leaves behind her lifelong friends Carole Sickles and Barb Reynolds. Funeral services will be private with Pastor Eric Jensen officiating. She will be interred in Glen Castle Rural Cemetery.
