Anthony L. Nicholas

Anthony L. Nicholas, 79, passed away on Thursday January 19, 2023. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio he was the son of Anthony and Bertha Florentine Nicholas. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his first wife Karen Zack Nicholas, two brothers, Gary Nicholas, Tim Nicholas and nephew Gary Nicholas.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Nicholas; his mother-in-law Arlene Berardi; his brother Albert Nicholas and wife Angela of Saluda, NC; sister-in-law Jean Nicholas of Tucson; his step-children Amy(Marie) Paske, Charlene (Jenn) Dodd and Gregory (Kimberly) Dodd  as well as 4 step-grandchildren, Alex and Annabelle Dodd and Amelia and John Paske. He leaves behind 4 nephews, Mike Nicholas and Brian Coladonato of Cleveland and Rocco and Tony Nicholas of Tucson and great niece Alyssa Nicholas.

He was a 1961 graduate of Lincoln High School and served in the US Army. In the 1970’s and 1980’s he ran Althen Lock and Key in Cleveland as owner/operator. He later worked for Cole Consumer Products and the Hillman Group, where he met Diane and then retired and moved to New York. He was an avid Browns and Indians fan until the very end.

Tony’s final resting place will be in The Towers of Memories at Vestal Hills Memorial Park. Private services will be held at a later date.
