Our beloved father, Angelo P. Mauraides went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, November 20, 2018 ten days before his 95th birthday. Angelo proudly served his country and was a veteran of the United States Army. He loved family above all else and was a friend to all. He was a professional bingo player and enjoyed painting, jigsaw puzzles and was a diehard fan of the New York Yankees. Angelo was a devoted lifelong member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Binghamton He was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Mildred in 2007, and son Bruce Mauraides, and four siblings. Angelo is survived by his loving children, Demetra and John Gray, Deltona, Fla., Johna and Thomas McNamara, Binghamton and Helen Mauraides, Lake Helen, Florida; cherished grandchildren, Angenette (Tom) Litke, Sherry, Clark and Joseph Mauraides, Trevor Huss, Casey Gray, Jamie and Evan McNamara and seven great-grandchildren. Angelo’s family would like to thank those special people who cared for him at the Ideal Senior Living Center. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 214 Court Street, Binghamton, with the Reverend Dr. Michael Bahlatzis, Proistamenos officiating. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Brookdale, Pennsylvania will be in the spring. Family will receive friends at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
