Alvin Howey

Alvin Charles Howey, 90, passed away January 26, 2023. He was a kind individual with a dry sense of humor. Alvin worked for IBM before retiring and fished on his boat at Seneca Lake for the next ten years. Looking for something more to keep busy he began transporting autos for the Matthews Auto Group for next twenty years. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army serving his country during the Korean War. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and taught dog training classes. Alvin was an avid NY Yankees fan, sporting that logo on a hat which he wore every day. He was predeceased by his first wife Joyce Marlene Howey, son David Alvin Howey, grandson Ryan Andrew Howey and parents Vernon and Florence Howey. Alvin is survived by his wife of 32 years Ramona, his son, Andy Howey and fiancée Linda McCormack, step-daughter, Lee Ann Meck-Belknap, grandchildren Jay Howey and Janelle Howey, Graham Belknap and Madison Belknap, nephew, Sam Reid, nieces Susan Reid and Debra Reid.
