Albert Anthony Kocak, 87, died on Saturday August 1, 2020 in Wilson Hospital. Al, the son of Anthony Kocak and Roseline Fabik, was born on July 23, 1933 in Binghamton. He married his wife of 62 years, Dolores Rose Krisko (deceased Jan. 2013), also from Binghamton, and raised four children – John (wife Mariann), Debra (husband Don Burke), Ronnie (wife Annie) and Donna. Al was a life-long athlete and avid golfer who made 5 hole-in-ones at four Broome County golf courses. He served on the Binghamton Fire Department for 20 years, retiring as a Lieutenant in 1982. After retiring, Al and Dee (and Donna) moved to Altoona, Florida where they enjoyed building beautiful gardens and viewing the wildlife on their property, boating, and riding the backroads and stopping for picnic lunches on their motorcycles. Al is survived by his brother Ronald (wife Mary) Kocak, his children and their families (including 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and Al’s dog Poncho and cats Sugar and Cookie). Al will always be remembered for his good nature, sense of humor, and black cowboy hat. The family would like to thank the staff at Good Shepherd and Willow Point Nursing Homes and Wilson Hospital for treating him like their own. Due to COVID-19, no services will be held; however, please share a story and learn more about Albert at https://www.demunn.com/obituary/albert-kocak. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Broome County Humane Society (see link at demunn) in memory of Albert Kocak.
