Elizabeth “Betty” Ribble
of Binghamton
Elizabeth “Betty” Ribble, 93, passed away, Saturday, August 28, 2010. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Elmo Ribble; her parents, Thomas and Mabel Pompeii; great-grandson, Brooks Allen Ribble; brothers, Morris, Joseph and William Pompeii and sisters; Antionette David, Mae Puglisi and Rose Heavey. Betty is survived by her children; Thomas and Faye Ribble, Binghamton, Gary and Michele Ribble, Binghamton and Norma Jackson, Binghamton. She leaves behind nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, three great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Betty worked for many years at both Woolworth’s and Fowler’s Department Store. She was a longtime member of Saint John the Evangelist Church. Betty’s family would like to thank the caring staff of the Susquehanna Nursing Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 1, 2010 with the Reverend Christopher J. Celentano officiating. Entombment will follow services in Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.
