Anne Norton Prislupsky

November 30, 1961 — February 15, 2010

Anne Norton Prislupsky of Conklin   Anne Norton Prislupsky passed away unexpectedly Monday, February 15, 2010. Anne had a wonderful life and was loved by many. She was predeceased by her parents, Roger and Mary Jeanne Norton. Anne is survived by her loving partner, Freddie Maliwacki, Jr. and her loving daughter, Kaitlin Prislupsky. She leaves behind a large family, sisters; Beth Norton, Whitestone, NY and Ellen Sharpe, Endwell, brothers; Dennis Norton, Binghamton, Kevin and Jennette Norton, Endicott, Shawn and Barbara Norton, Wilmington, NC, Brian and Lori Norton, Pearl River, NY, and Mark Norton, Kobe, Japan. She was loved and cherished by her partner’s children, Sarah Maliwacki, Endicott and Lucas Maliwacki, Orlando, FL and her special little five year old man, Aidan Butora, Endicott. Anne was a longtime culinary arts instructor at Broome Tioga BOCES and Broome Community College. She touched the hearts of all around her with her passion and enthusiasm for life and cooking. There was always a pot of soup simmering on her kitchen stove. She enjoyed being a judge of the annual Spiedie Fest Competition for many years. She loved the ocean, gardening and especially her family. Kaitlin will always have fond memories of camping as a child and vacationing in the summer with her mother. The love and support shared by Anne and her daughter will remain a bond forever in Kaitlin’s heart. Anne and Freddie enjoyed many beautiful vacations together. A celebration of Anne’s life will be held 7:00 pm, Friday, February 19, 2010 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton. Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 pm. Those wishing to honor Anne’s memory may contribute to the Anne Prislupsky Scholarship Fund c/o Broome Tioga BOCES, 435 Glenwood Road, Binghamton, NY 13905.
