Charles Bannister

Charles Bannister, 84, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017. Charlie was proud veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War. He retired from the City of Binghamton in 1988 after many years of service. Charlie was a longtime member of Saints John and Andrew RC Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was predeceased by his wife, Emma, his parents, Sylvester and Ethel Bannister, sisters, Lucy Gowe and Mary Westgate. Charlie is survived by many friends and the parish of Saints John and Andrew RC Church.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 am, Monday, April 3, 2017 at Saints John and Andrew RC Church, 1263 Vestal Avenue, Binghamton by the Reverend Monsignor Michael T. Meagher. Entombment will follow services in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at church for one hour prior to services. To forward condolences please visit www.demunn.com.
