Doris Montgomery

Beloved mother and grandmother, Doris L. Montgomery, 86, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017. Doris was a woman whose life revolved around her family. She kept busy by raising her children and grandchildren. She loved baking for her family and was a local celebrity when it came to her cinnamon rolls. Things she loved as well were, shopping, polka music and going to the flea market. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred Montgomery, Jr. and daughter, Barbara Ann Montgomery. Doris is survived by her children; Fred Montgomery, Binghamton, Joyce Montgomery, Kirkwood, James Montgomery, and Marie Petrilli, Kirkwood, John Montgomery, Binghamton, Paul Montgomery, Kirkwood and Gerald Montgomery, Kirkwood, seven treasured grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She leaves behind brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Doris Layton, Reading, Pa. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton with the Reverend David Seaver officiating. Interment will follow services in Kirkwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 pm, Friday, March 10, 2017 at the funeral home.
