Walter Devoughn Slater, 42, passed away June 30, 2016. When God gave him to us, he sent his most special angel. Walter was a loving person. Walter always believed and trusted in God. He was known for making people laugh, even if he was having a bad day. He didn’t have much but he would have given someone in need the clothes off his back. Walter always thought of others before he thought of himself. Walter will be truly missed by his family. He loved fishing and was a great artist.
Walter is survived by his parents, Arlene and Phil Ryant, Binghamton, siblings: Guy Slater, Johnson City, Deonna Slater, Binghamton and Jeania Slater, Binghamton. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm, Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton with the Reverend Alfred Bebel officiating.
God, It’s now time for our angel to go back home
Fly high Bud, we love and miss you
