Anthony L. (Tony) Santucci, 65, of Binghamton, NY passed peacefully on May 7, 2016, surrounded by his family. Tony was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Mary Ann (Virginia) Santucci. He is survived by his wife, Nancy McPherson Santucci and a son, Damien Santucci. He also leaves a brother, David Santucci , sister-in-law Judy Harder Santucci; niece, Tania Santucci (Ken) Barnes; nephew, Anthony R. Santucci, several aunts, uncles and cousins. Tony was a graduate of Union-Endicott High School and Broome Community College, and served in the U.S. Army. He retired from AIG in 2005. He enjoyed fishing, golf and spending time with family and with his canine companions, Riley and Precious. Tony loved Yankees baseball, Giants football and Syracuse football and basketball. Tony waged an all-out war against Huntington 's Disease for more than 13 years. Along the way, he had the support of wonderful caregivers, especially Dr. Fred Marshall and staff of U of R Neurology Center for Excellence. At the end, he was cared for at Willow Point Nursing Home, where April, Patty, Danielle, Cody, Matt, Jessica and Marry Russick treated him with kindness. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton, NY. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10am until the time of the service at 11am. Internment will be at Vestal Hills Memorial Park following the funeral.
