Our beloved mother and grandmother, Frances Passiment, 99, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 4, 2016. Frances was a loving and giving person who would help anyone in need. A devout Catholic, she was a member of Saint John the Evangelist RC Church since her arrival in Binghamton in 1949. Frances was also a devoted fan of the New York Yankees.
She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Joseph in 2001, parents, Dominic and Mary Sabina and grandson, Jeffrey King. Frances is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joanie and Leo Healey, Conklin; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph, Jr. and Elissa Passiment, Bluffton, South Carolina. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Linda King, Patricia and Mark Bauer, Marc and Morgan Passiment and Laura and Anthony Pierro; her beloved great-grandchildren, Austin and Ethan Passiment, Christopher, Julia, Audrey and Joseph King, Gabriella, Matthew, Michael and Joseph Pierro and several nieces and nephews. Frances’ family would like to thank the caring staff of South 1 at the Willow Point Nursing Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:00 am, Tuesday, May 10, 2016 by the Reverend Monsignor Michael T. Meagher at Saints John and Andrew RC Church, 1263 Vestal Avenue, Binghamton. Interment will follow services in Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 pm,Monday, May 9, 2016 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton.
