Robert Vanhart

Our beloved husband and father, Robert E. VanHart, 96, passed left us March 12, 2016 to return to his Lord in Heaven. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Virginia, children, Robert VanHart, San Jose, Ca. and Kimberly VanHart, Conklin, treasured grandchildren; David Kneebis, Corey Ann and Joseph Ostrowsky, Heather and Joseph Powell, Nicholas VanHart, and Katherine VanHart, five greatgrandchildren, Trinity and Tristan Ostrowsky, Carli and Bryli Powell and Carter Mestaz. He leaves behind brother, Harold C. VanHart, Conklin and a large extended family. Robert proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Army. He worked many years at Singer Link, after which he was employed by the Susquehanna Valley School District. Robert was a lifetime member of the Little White Church. Robert’s wishes were to contribute to medical education. At his request his remains will be donated to Upstate Medical Center. A celebration of Robert’s life will be held 3:00 pm, Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the Little White Church, 1049 Conklin Road, Conklin with the Reverend Timothy Easley officiating.
