Joyce A. Palmer

Our beloved mother, Joyce A. Palmer, 73, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016. Joyce lit up the room with her smile. She was the life of the party and will always be remembered as the “Rockin’ Grandma” who loved spending the summers at her camp on Cayuga Lake. She was predeceased by her husband Craig Palmer, parents Andrew and Louise Robertson and sister, Betty Robertson. Joyce is survived by her children; Michele and Dan Smith, Binghamton and Ken Palmer, Binghamton and treasured grandchildren, Cody and Rachel Smith. She leaves behind brothers, Andrew and Beverly Robertson, Binghamton and John and Sharon Robertson, Livingston, Texas and many friends whom she cherished. Joyce was a longtime employee of Singer Link. She then worked for Binghamton City Schools Cafeteria and was also very involved with all school activities with both her children and grandchildren. She was also an avid hockey fan, active with the Booster Club for the Binghamton Whalers. Joyce’s family will gather to share memories of Joyce from 4:00 until 7:00 pm, Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton.
