Our beloved mother, Carol Ann Macumber, 71, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016. She was a warm and loving woman with an unbreakable spirit. She fought many battles in her lifetime, one being epilepsy and recently early onset dementia. She was a fighter. Her spirits always soared above what anyone would have thought possible. She loved visiting with family. Born September 2, 1944 in Sidney and grew up in rural Unadilla and Bainbridge. Carol enjoyed classic country music and her kitties. She spent hours doing her puzzle books and enjoyed bowling. She was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Francis. Carol is survived by her children, Blair Dury, Endicott and Wendy Dury-Samson and husband Daniel of Delmar, NY and treasured granddaughter, Nora Samson. She leaves behind brother and sister-in-law, James and Joan Macumber, Orlando, Fla. and several nieces and nephews, which include James Macumber, Davenport, Fla. and Jaqueline Simons, Orlando, Fla.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2016, at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton. Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services. Interment services will be private in the Sand Hill Cemetery, Unadilla.
