Our beloved father and grandfather, William J. Decker, 91, passed into eternal rest Wednesday, February 17, 2016. He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Jean, son, William Decker, brothers, DeForest Decker and Robert Decker. Bill is survived by his children, Gail and James Carroll, Pittsford and Barbara Burnett and David Lewis, Binghamton and Nancy Decker, Hazelton, treasured grandchildren; Lori Dolgos, Avon, New York, Chris Carroll, Syracuse, Greg Burnett, DeKalb, Illinois, Brian Carroll, Syracuse, Amy Fayock, Hazelton, Pa. and Krista Decker, Hazelton, Pa and nine great grandchildren. He leaves behind siblings, Ethel and Carl Pease, New Oxford, Pa. and Elbert and Elaine Decker, Montrose as well as several nieces and nephews. Bill held numerous sales positions throughout the Southern Tier and retired from Maine’s in 1987. He was a member of the Ross Memorial Presbyterian Church for over 60 years where he was an Elder of the Church. Bill was active in the Windsor Lodge No. 442, Free and Accepted Masons since December 5, 1969. He held the position of Past Master Windsor Lodge, member of both the Kalurah Shriners and the Royal Order of the Jesters. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Monday, February 22, 2016 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton with the Reverend Michael Krembs officiating. Interment will follow services in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Sunday, February 21, 2016.
