Obituary of Margaret Hawley Our beloved mother, Margaret Hawley, 92, passed away April 3, 2015. Margaret devoted her life to her family. She always lent a hand to anyone in need. Many people will remember her as the avid walker of downtown Binghamton. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles, son, Timothy Paul Spicer and parents, Paul and Helen Nicholas. Margaret is survived by her children, Helen and Steve Sullivan, Johnson City, Duane and Peggy Hawley, Port Crane and Sharon and Steve Jones, Richmond, Va., treasured grandchildren; Joseph, Brianna, Jeffrey, Justin and Bobbie, Dawn, Jamie and Tammy. She leaves behind several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, special friends, Mary Ellen Allegrino, Rick Allegrino and Lori Fischer. Margaret’s family would like to thank the staff of both Willow Point Nursing Home and Wilson Memorial Hospital and her special aide, Frances for the extraordinary care she received. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Sunday, April 12, 2015 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton with Pastor Thomas Easttley of Boulevard United Methodist Church officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:00pm until the time of services. Margaret will be entombed in Vestal Hills Memorial Park on 8:30am, Monday, April 13, 2015.
