Obituary of Alice Riley Alice Riley, 83, passed away peacefully Friday, August 7, 2015 with her loving family by her side. Alice loved her family unconditionally. Mom brightened our everyday with her encouragement, love and hope. She had a positive outlook on life and inspired her children to become the best they could be and carried her through difficult times. Her smile will last in everyone’s heart as a comforting reminder of how she loved everyone she knew. She was past president of Saint John’s Altar Rosary Society and a volunteer with Lourdes Hospice. Alice especially treasured working at Old Faithful Snow Lodge in Yellowstone Park and her many trips across the United States, Canada and England. She was predeceased by her husband of 53, years John, son-in-law, James Coffey, brothers; Francis, Lawrence, Donald and Ralph Crawford . Alice is survived by her children; Thomas Riley, Binghamton, Anne and Bill Comerota, Conklin, David Riley, Ledyard, Ct. and Mary Coffey, Binghamton, treasured grandchildren; Christopher, Amanda, Patrick, Ryan and Adam and great-grandson, Charles. She leaves behind brother and sister-in-law, Arnold and Perle Crawford, Johnson City, sister-in-law, Ann Riley, Vestal , brother-in-law, Smitty and Gladys Sliter of Hudson, Fla. and sister-in-law, Sheree Riley of New Port Richey, Fla. There will be a gathering to celebrate her life and share fond memories on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at the Riley home. Family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm. Alice’s family would like to express their gratitude to the staff on Binghamton General’s ICU for caring attention to not only Alice but to her entire family.
