Obituary of Rosalie Manuszewski Rosalie Ordian Manuszewski, 75, passed away after a lengthy illness, Wednesday, November 11, 2015. Rosalie, known to many as Rosie, grew up on Nash Road in the town of Wheatfield, NY. She graduated from North Tonawanda High School in 1958. Over the years she had been employed at the Marine Trust Bank and was a secretary in various medical offices and the First Presbyterian Church of Buffalo. In her spare time, Rosie taught microwave cooking classes, provided care for several elderly women of the community, volunteered at the Buffalo Psychiatric Hospital and ushered at Kleinhan’s Music Hall. Rosie loved cooking for family and friends, gardening, music, and visiting on the porch with friends and neighbors. Although she grew to love Binghamton, she was a true native of Buffalo- Go Bills!! Rosie, who was a great storyteller, conveyed her love of life to all. Many people collect things throughout their lives, Rosie collected friends. Family and friends were what she valued most. She was predeceased by her parents, Yolan and Nicholas J. Ordian and husband, Thomas Manuszewski. Rosalie is survived by Kim ( Dru) Embry, Binghamton and Paul (Sasha Fassett) Manuszewski, Binghamton, treasured grandchildren, Michael Peterson, West Palm Beach, Fla., Julian Manuszewski, Astoria, NY, Jenny-Rebecca Embry, Binghamton, Zoe Manuszewski, Bar Harbor, Me., Elizabeth Embry, Binghamton and Thomas Embry, Binghamton. She leaves behind brother and sister-in-law, Nicholas and Bernadette Ordian, Wheatfield, NY and faithful companion, Dusty. Rosalie’s family would like to express their gratitude to the staffs of the Susquehanna Nursing Home, Ross One and Hospice at Lourdes for their care, love and friendship. A celebration of Rosalie’s’ life will be held 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Sunday, November 15, 2015 in the Fireside Room of the Unitarian Universalist Church, 183 Riverside Drive, Binghamton. Memorial contributions in Rosalie’s name may be made to The Healing Garden at Lourdes Hospital, Attn. Joe Carpenter, 169 Riverside Drive, Binghamton, NY 13905.
