Obituary of Edwin HarveyEdwin J. Harvey, 81, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2015. He is now in the hands of the Lord, where he will suffer no more. He was predeceased by his parents Raymond and Sadie Harvey. Ed is survived by his sister and brother-in-law; Betty and Lester Jones, Binghamton and brother, Richard (Norma) Harvey. He leaves behind a special nephew, Eddie Jones, Binghamton and several nieces and nephews. Ed served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was an accountant for IBM Endicott for 35 years. Upon retirement he went to work for Lockheed Martin. He was a longtime active member of Conklin Forks United Methodist Church. Ed was also an avid golfer for many years and enjoyed watching golf when he could no longer get out on the course himself. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Conklin Forks United Methodist Church, 4420 Brady Hill Road, Binghamton with Pastor Betty Riley officiating. Interment will follow services in Kattelville Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Ed’s name may be made to the Improvement Fund of the Conklin Forks United Methodist Church, 4420 Brady Hill Road, Binghamton, NY 13903.
