Elizabeth Young

Elizabeth Young, 57, passed away on November 11th 2014. She was born to William Irving Johnson and Barbara Johnson on October 6th 1957 in, Brooklyn, New York. Elizabeth attended Clara Barton High School in Brooklyn, New York. Elizabeth was a loving and devoted mother who is survived by her 8 children, Sheila Smalls, Janine Smalls, Shamel Young, Kareem Young, Eleanor Young, Sha-heem Young, Naquan Youg and Shykim Young. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren.Elizabeth also leaves behind her brothers and sisters, Robert Young, Irving Johnson, Winnie Rodriguez, Debra Young, Susan Jones, Vera Johnson, Eloise Johnson, and Nicole Johnson. Her aunt, Vera Pearson, and uncle, William Trotter. Brother-in-laws, Joseph Rodriguez and Joseph Brooks and sister-in-law Geraldine Young. Multitudes of nieces, nephews and cousins. During her lifetime, Elizabeth showed many fruits of the spirit- love, kindness, faithfulness, and gentleness. The harvest of a life well lived. Elizabeth showed a love and faithfulness for God and her family. Today we celebrate the life of Elizabeth Young but there is also another celebration in heaven because a saint has come home. Funeral services will be held 12:00pm, Thursday, November 20, 2014 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton. Interment will follow services in Spring Forest Cemetery. Family will receive friends for one hour prior to services.
