Shirley Agnes Martinos

Shirley Martinos, 78, passed away peacefully Monday, November 10, 2014. She was predeceased by her parents John and Katherine Hazen, son, Thomas Martinos, and sisters, Jackie Valenti and Joan Temple. Shirley is survived by her son, Louis Martinos, Norwood, Mass., daughter, Katherine Brinkerhoff, Ormand Beach, Fla., grandchildren; Danielle, Nicole, Michelle, Kelly, and seven great grandchildren, sisters; Teresa Baynard, Lafayette La. and Kathleen Franks, Binghamton. She leaves behind her nieces and nephews who lovingly cared for her; Diana Stone, Cathy Ellis, Bonnie, Monica Stento, Chad Ellis and Bobby Franks as well as several other nieces and nephews. Shirley was a longtime member of Saints John and Andrew Roman Catholic Church. Shirley’s family wishes to express their thanks to Sister Fredrica and compassionate staff and volunteers of hospice. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Friday, November 14, 2014 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton with the Reverend Monsignor Michael T. Meagher officiating.
