Harriet Lasky, 91, died in Skokie, Illinois on November 3, 2014. She was born April 18, 1923 in Binghamton and graduated from Binghamton Central High School in 1941. Harriet worked for several years at American Photographic Corporation. She enjoyed photography, painting with oil, theatre, drama and journalism. Harriet made her home in the Chicago suburb of Skokie, IL since the early 1970’s.
She was preceded in death by her father, Morris Lasky and her mother, Fannie (Dwork) Lasky and brothers; William Lasky, Bernard Lasky and twin brother Jackson Lasky. Harriet is survived by brother, Robert Lasky of Binghamton, NY, son Mitchell (Donna) Ambler, Lawrenceville, Ga., grandchildren; Parker Ambler and Chelsea (Nick) Begnoche and great grandsons, Archer & Jasper Johnson. She leaves behind 12 loving nieces and nephews and many friends in the Skokie, IL area.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, November 7, 2014 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton with Rabbi Aminidav Adamit officiating. Interment will follow services in Beth David Cemetery, Conklin. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until the time of services.
