Lucy Sherman

On Tuesday September 9th, 2014 my beloved Mommy, Lucy Wilson Sherman, died suddenly of a Pulmonary Embolism. She was 71 years old. I am her only child, Becky Chamberlain and I have a 19-year-old daughter, Madison, and a wonderful ex-husband who also deeply loved her, Mark Chamberlain. My mom is survived by her husband Henderson Rouse, her sister Penny Morris and her aunt Doris Wilson. We are all in shock and heartbroken. We miss her so very much. If you knew my mom, you knew she was an amazing woman, full of vitality, beautiful, funny, smart and loving. She touched people’s lives and made lasting differences wherever she went. She made people feel special, important and accepted for who they were. Her most recent occupations were Memoir writing and working as a jewelry artist, which she and her husband Henderson did together. I loved her so much. We all did. More than I could have anticipated. A tremendous outpouring of love and recognition for the remarkable woman she was has been flooding in. The truth is I am overwhelmed with her loss and with the support of my family have decided to cancel the memorial service. Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience this cancellation causes you. I am so very grateful for your support and hope you will keep my mom and Henderson in your thoughts and prayers.
