Johanna Afarian

Our beloved wife and mother, Johanna Sanders Afarian, 68, passed away Friday, April 25, 2014 after a long illness with her family by her side. She was born in Leicester, England and came to the United States with her parents as a young girl. Johanna graduated from Johnson City High School and she went on to attend Imperial School of Beauty Culture where she began her lifelong career as a beautician.    She was predeceased by her parents, Douglas and Gwynne Williams. Johanna is survived by, her loving husband of 46 years, Jack, children; Kristen Afarian, Baldwinsville and Andrew Afarian, Apalachin. She leaves behind her sisters, Holly and Christopher Redden, Mount Pleasant, SC and Elizabeth Williams, Charleston, SC.   A celebration of Johanna’s life will be held 4:00 pm, Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton with the Reverend Michael Grinnals officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 4:00 pm.
