Haines, Richard “Ricky” of Binghamton
Richard “Ricky” Haines, 25, was called home to his heavenly Father, Tuesday, March 25, 2014. Ricky had a knack for storytelling, repeating a quip or telling a joke. He always made others laugh and lifted their spirits. He would have considered it an honor to have been called home to heaven on the same day as Ralph Wilson, Jr.; where he is now making it known where the “Bills” should be heading this season.
He was predeceased by his earthly father, Richard Thomas Haines in 1988. Ricky is survived by his mother, Theresa “Trixie” Haines, Johnson City, sister, Danielle M. Haines, Binghamton, paternal grandmother and dear friend; Carol L. Haines, Binghamton, maternal grandmother, Helen L. DiLascia, Johnson City, aunts; Linda Hrostowski, Luanne Vallese, Cheryl Polaski, Penney Hrostowski, uncles; Ronald, Greg, and Ed Hrostowski, Jack DiLascia and Steve Vallese. He leaves behind cousins, Ben, Sara, Paxton, Gianna, Adam, April, Emily, Lillian, Donald, Denise, Grace, Steven, Tom, Mike, Arthur, Emmanuel and Egan, his lifelong buddy, Dan Roper and many friends and colleagues.
Rick was a member of Saint Patrick’s RC Church and Knights of Columbus, Council #2953, Johnson City. He was a 2007 graduate of Johnson City High School and received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from SUNY Albany. He was an avid sports enthusiast and loved baseball which led him to work as a scout for major league baseball, traveling all around the country to meet up and coming players.
