William Heyman

Dr. William Heyman, Professor Emeritus, 88 years, passed away Wednesday morning, January 8, 2014, at Lourdes Hospital. He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Mary. He is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth "Lancey" Heyman Dunay and her husband, Darren Dunay of Clifton, NJ; a son, John Heyman; and two granddaughters, Gabriella and Adriana Dunay. He was a psychology professor for Harpur College and later Binghamton University, retiring after 46 years of service. He was an Army veteran of WWII. He was an avid lover of classical music (Mozart!), traveling (France!!) and later in life he enjoyed painting and attending various local musical and cultural events. The family will receive friends Saturday 9:30 until 11 a.m. at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton where a funeral service will be offered by Rev. David C. Seaver afterward.
