Our beloved aunt, Helen Julien,
93, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 9, 2013. To her nieces and
nephews, she was a second mother sharing many adventures and enriching our
lives. She was blessed with a wonderful sense of humor, enabling her to view life’s
many mishaps with laughter. She was a volunteer, donating many hours of her
time to her church, Lourdes Hospital, WSKG, Spedie Fest and First Nite to name
just a few. Helen was an avid golfer, traveling the country to play the sport
she loved. She met her husband while traveling to play golf.
She was predeceased by her
husband, Cecil; parents; Michael and Mary Wroblewski, sisters; Anne Steier and Mary
Bigart and nephew, William Steier. Helen is survived by nieces and nephews;
Billie-Marie (David) Gross, Linda Gross, Michele (Tom) Napolitano, Marylou (Barry)
Gross, Gerald Steier, Dennis (Lori) Steier and Elizabeth (Bob) Richards and
their families. She leaves behind good friends Jennie Pietryka and Helen
Shulman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will
be celebrated 10:00 am, Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Saints John and Andrew
RC Church, 1263 Vestal Avenue, Binghamton with the Reverend Monsignor Michael
T. Meagher officiating. Interment will follow services in Calvary Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 pm, Tuesday, November 12, 2013
at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton. Memorial
contributions in Helen’s name may be made to the Lourdes Foundation, 169
