John R. Fitch

      John Fitch, 81, was taken home by the Lord Tuesday, August 20, 1013 He was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Betty and his parents, Clarence and Phoebe Fitch,. John is survived by in-laws, Frank and Bea Fedor, Acton, Ca., Jim and Monica Fedor, Binghamton, Mike and Robbi Fedor, Endicott, Ann and Ray Deniston, Windsor, many nieces and nephews and his loving four legged companion, Gigi.      John retired from Ozalid after many years as a chemist. He was a member of Ross Memorial Presbyterian Church where he enjoyed singing in the choir. The family would like to thank Dr. M. Bashar Yousuf and the staff of CCU at Wilson Memorial Hospital.     Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, August 24, 2013 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton with the Reverend Michael Krembs officiating. Interment will follow services in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of services.  Memorial contributions in John’s name may be made to Broome County Humane Society, 2 Jackson Street, Binghamton, NY 13903 or to the charity of one’s choice.
