Bernice M. Harrison

     Bernice M. Smith Harrison, 80, passed away Friday, March 22, 2013. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 49 years, Thomas J. Harrison, parents, Sanford and Anita Smith, siblings, Lois and Larry Shimansky and Sandra Palmer Orr. Bernie is survived by her children, Lynn and Gerri Harrison, Johnson City and Pamela Clark, Conklin. She leaves behind her treasured grandchildren, Rebecca, Catherine and Lisa Clark all of Conklin and Michael Harrison, Johnson City, in-laws, Charles and Nancy Harrison, Vestal, Barbara Salvemini, Conklin and Marjorie McMurray, Ne, Md. and her adopted family, Keith and Ann Harrison, Endicott and several nieces and nephews.      Tom and Bernie were foster parents to over 100 children in Broome County over a period of 28 years. She was an avid NY Yankee fan. Bernie’s family would like to thank the staff at Bridgewater Nursing Home’s Unit 2A for their care and concern.     Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm, Monday, March 25, 2013 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton.
