Ruth M. Thurber

   Our beloved mother and grandmother, Ruth Thurber, 94, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013. She was predeceased by her husband, Earl, brothers, Lee and Jerry Wilbur. Ruth is survived by her children, Eugene and Colleen Thurber, Port Crane and Gary and Karen Thurber, Binghamton, treasured grandchildren, Brian Whalen, Andrea Whalen, Gregory Thurber and Laura Thurber and three great grandchildren and an extended family. Ruth retired from Robintech after many years of service. She was an avid NY Yankees fan.    Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm, Sunday, February 10, 2013 at the DeMunn Funeral Home 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton with the Reverend Steve Chastain officiating. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery will be in the spring. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until the time of services.  Memorial contribution in Ruth’s name may be made to the Broome County Humane Society, 2 Jackson Street, Binghamton, NY 13903.
