George A. Harold

George A. Harold, 60, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013. He was predeceased by his mother, Annie Ruth Harold and sister, Annie Ruth Harold. George is survived by his children; Jason Spivey, Providence, RI, Quinn Godfrey, Ithaca, Alan Godfrey, Long Beach, CA and Kadeem Harold, Orlando, FL. He leaves behind 3 grandsons, Marquis, Kashis and Madden, father, Samuel Harold, Providence, RI and brother, Leon Harold, Nantucket Island, RI. George grew up in Providence, Rhode Island and relocated to Binghamton in 1992.  While he was in the Great Onyx Job Corp in Tennessee, he became involved in boxing and was the Golden Gloves Heavyweight Champion in 1978. George loved to sing and cook. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton.
