Maureen A. Mcmanus

Maureen A. McManus, 52, of Binghamton passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Lourdes Hospital, after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was dear, caring person with a wonderful personality who will be missed by many. Maureen was born in Syracuse, NY and is predeceased by her parents, Donald F. and Ruth S. McManus, brother, Edward McManus and niece, Anastasia McManus. She is survived by partner, Sean Manning, Binghamton; brother, Kevin (Jane) McManus, Painted Post, NY; nieces, Sera, Alexandra and Asha; and several friends. Maureen enjoyed music, reading, crocheting, watching sports and her dog, Candi. Maureen graduated from Binghamton Central High School and the Berklee School of Fashion, White Plains, NY. She was employed in various capacities by GE Westover/ Martin Marietta for many years. Special thanks to the compassionate staff of the many different units of Lourdes Hospital, who took great care of Maureen. Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm, Friday, December 14, 2012 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton with the Reverend Monsignor Michael T. Meagher officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery at a to be announced.  Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 7:00 pm.
