Gordon A. Steere

    Gordon A. Steere, 78, passed away Friday, November 30, 2012. He was predeceased by his parents, Kenneth and Vera Steere.  Gordon is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Dorothy, sons; Daniel and Coleen Steere, Portsmouth, Va. and  Randall and Gail Steere, Town of Binghamton, treasured grandchildren, William and Rhonda Steere, Rebecca Steere, Leslie and Steven Dix, and Richard and Chrissy Harder and  7 great grandchildren, Bryan, Allison, Patrick, Darian, Connor, Cameron and Nicholas. He leaves behind brothers; Robert and Jody Steere and Jerry and Carol Steere, sisters; Carolyn LaBarre and Virginia Clough, sisters-in law, Teressa and Francis Basa, Evelyn Torrey, Donna Stack, Lois and James Karns, brothers-in law, Donald LaBarre and LaValle  and Marion LaBarre and many nieces and nephews      Gordon served his country as a proud member of the United States Air Force. He retired from the Susquehanna Valley School District Maintenance Department. Gordon enjoyed racing dirt bikes with his sons and snowmobiling with family. He was a past member of the the Square Deal Riders Club.     Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm, Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at the Conklin Forks United Methodist Church, 4420 Brady Hill Road, Binghamton with the Reverend William Puckey officiating.  Interment will follow services in Conklin Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday, December 3, 2012 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton and again Tuesday, December 4, 2012 from 11:00 am until the time of services at Conklin Forks United Methodist Church.
