Charlotte "Chuck" Quick

     Charlotte “Chuck” Quick, at the spry age of 83, gained her wings and went to be with our heavenly Father on Monday, November 5, 2012. A person who could not sit still, Charlotte was always gardening out in her yard, running to bingo or holding her perpetual garage sales.  She was born on March 12, 1929 to Floyd and Esther Hadley. On February 19, 1949, Charlotte was married to the love of her life, Barney and was the world’s most devoted and caring wife until his death in October 2007. She was predeceased by two great grandchildren; Hunter and Dylan Scott and brother, Dick Hadley.  Charlotte is survived by her children; Earl “Skip” Quick, Utica, Polly and Tim Bunsic, Waxhaw, NC, Terry Quick, Sedalia, MO, Jill and Dr. Mark Haney, Sedalia, MO and “her baby”, Barry and Karen Quick, Fort Meyers, FL. She leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.       Charlotte was a lifelong member of the Conklin Avenue First Baptist Church and was active in the Town of Binghamton community. She loved attending Sunday morning breakfast at Jane’s Diner with her church family. Charlotte retired from Sears Roebuck after 28 years of service and enjoyed her luncheons with her fellow retirees.      Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, November 9 2012 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton with the Reverend Steve Chastain officiating. Interment will follow services in Chenango Valley Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 until 6:00 pm, Thursday, November 8, 2012.
