James P. Stillman, 75, passed away at home Wednesday, October 3, 2012. Jim was a graduate of Brewster High School. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Jim was an engineer with Singer Link until they relocated out of the area, after which he was the successful owner of Pony Express which specialized in the transportation of oversized loads. He enjoyed motorcycling, scuba diving, boating, reading and wintering in Titusville, Florida.
Jim is survived by his devoted wife of 36 years, Mary Jane, daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and David Oney, Clayton, NC and Jeannine and Gerald Cook, Key Largo, FL, brothers- in-law and sisters-in-law; Richard and Kathy Rosbrook, Kinderhook, NY, Robert and Patricia Warrington, Valatie, NY, special friend of the family, Brenda Warrington, Valatie, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his four legged best friend, Nikki.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Reverend Robert Sullivan, 10:00 am, Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Saint Mary’s RC Church, 974 NYS Route 11, Kirkwood. Family will receive friends at the church from 9:00 until the time of services. Interment will be in the Saint John the Baptist Cemetery in Valatie, NY in the spring.
