Edward Vic Marra, 59, Binghamton, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday August 30, 2012. Ed will be remembered by many very close friends and acquaintances, whose friendship he valued immensely. He greatly enjoyed his time as an employee of Universal Instruments for twenty-two years, during which time he traveled to Hong Kong, China, Mexico and various other parts of the world, learning about other cultures. Ed was an avid sports fan of baseball, golf, NASCAR, soccer, and basketball. He particularly enjoyed supporting local teams - especially the BU Bearcats. Another one of Ed’s great loves was his interest in history, with a specific interest in World War II. He loved living in upstate New York and will be deeply missed by all the lives he touched.
He was predeceased by his parents Beth (Fry) and Vic Marra. Ed is survived by his children Benjamin Crossley-Marra, Brooklyn, NY, Laura Crossley-Marra, Chicago, IL, and his former wife Sally Crossley. He is also survived by his siblings, Mary Beth (Bill) Kelley, Webster, NY, Joan Marra, Webster, NY, Thom (Lorraine) Marra, Getzville, NY, his aunt Emma Marra, Winchester, Virginia and various nieces and nephews.
