Mary June McKechnie passed away May 16, 2012 after several months of illness. She was an exemplary mother to her daughters, a good sister to her brother and sisters, a good friend to many people and devoted to her family. She was very supportive of the people she loved; laughing when they made prank phone calls to her. We will remember her as generous, smart, and loyal - a great example of how to behave towards others. She had a good sense of humor and was always willing to pitch in and help though sometimes this meant bailing bilge in her dress and pearls. She was a talented interior designer and had a great sense of style. Her church and her beliefs were a great force in her life, and she had true faith. In that context, she lived humbly and with grace and dignity.
Mary June is survived by daughter Anne Butler and husband Lindsay, Brackney, Pa. daughter Jane Galbreath and husband Mark, Odenton, Md., grandchildren James, Elizabeth, Aaron and William David, sister Grace Wiltse, Fulton, NY, sister Judy Graham, Fulton, NY, great-grandchildren Lyla, Katelyn and Dylan. She was predeceased by her husband; William G. McKechnie, parents Iva and Arthur Dumont Sr., brother, Arthur Dumont, Jr. and grandson, Thomas J. Butler.
