Kathryn Cooney Kincer

Kathryn Cooney Kincer of Binghamton Kathryn Cooney Kincer, 98, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2012. A card player who “never cheated”, she was a master of Skip Bo and Uno. The Tri-cities area has lost a woman who was proud of her Irish heritage and the baker of the best Irish Soda Bread. She was predeceased by her son, William, parents, Thomas and Anna Cooney, brothers; Edward, Thomas and Joseph Cooney and sisters, Mary Serber and Alice Cross. Kathryn is survived by her children; Herbert and Helen Kincer, Johnson City and David and Rita Kincer, Binghamton, treasured grandchildren; Kimberly, Michelle, Kenneth, Cathryn, Thomas, Vikkie, Timothy, Christine, Debra, Neil and Edward; 17   great- grandchildren, 9 great great-grandchildren, special nephew, Francis Cooney and several other nieces, nephews and cousins. Kathryn was a lifelong member of Saints John and Andrew RC Church and its Altar Rosary Society. She belonged to the Ladies AOH, Division 2 and the Catholic Daughters of America Rosary Society. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Reverend Monsignor Michael T. Meagher, 12:30 pm, Friday, March 9, 2012 at Saints John and Andrew RC Church, 1263 Vestal Avenue, Binghamton. Interment will follow services in Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 pm, Thursday, March 8, 2012 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton.
