October 15, 1921 — February 15, 2012

Ella Wilbur of Hallstead   Our beloved mother, Ella Wilbur, 90, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, February 15, 2012. She was predeceased by her husband, Lee, brother Herbert Roe. Ella is survived by her daughters; Marilynn and Gerald Guinane, Hallstead, Susan and Robert Caterson, Montrose and Lynda and Wayne Smith, Rush, treasured grandchildren; Brian and Merritt Guinane, Hallstead, Michael and Karen Guinane, Brackney, Sarah Caterson and Ray Caravan, State College, Pa., Alex and Meghan Caterson, Pittsburgh,Pa., Meghan Smith, Falls Church, Va. and Riley Smith, Evanston, Il., great-grandchildren; Emily, Macey, Madelynn and Oliva Guinane. She leaves behind sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Marc Burr, Las Cruces, NM, sister-in-law, Ruth Thurber, Binghamton.  Ella was active member of Silver Lake Presbyterian Church, a leader in 4H, the Dariylea Co-orperative, Brookdale Cemetery Association and Ladies Auxiliary Snake Creek Fire Department. She was a lifelong quilter and frequently exhibited at the Harford Fair and was often a ribbon winner. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 18, 2012 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton with  the Reverend Diane Prentice officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the time of services. Interment will be private in Brookdale Cemetery, Hallstead. Memorial contributions in Ella’s name may be made to the American Heart Association, 59 Court Street, Binghamton, NY 13901.
