David P. Cox Sr., 62, of Johnson City, died unexpectedly January 21, 2012. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and good friend. He was born to the late Reginald and Eleanor Cox. He is predeceased by his brother, Michael. David is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Linda; and his three loving sons and their spouses, John and Cathy, David and Cheryl, and Darin and Marion; his grandchildren, who he loved dearly, Meghan, Tabitha, Austen, Seira, Alex, Robert, Lee, and Katelynn. David is also survived by his brother, Jimmy; and sisters Judy, Patty, Carol, Casey, Barbara; and his special friend, Roseann McCarthy. David was enjoying his retirement driving taxi and will be greatly missed by his many friends and customers at BC, University, Yellow and Courtesy Cabs. He was an honest, trustworthy, hard-working man who enjoyed life. He was a die-hard Giants fan who loved John Wayne reruns and Law and Order will be missed by all who knew him. A memorial in David's honor will be held on Friday, January 27th, at 11:00 a.m. at the DeMunn Funeral Home on Conklin Avenue in Binghamton. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
