Richard J. Starks

 Richard J. Starks, 74, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 24, 2012. He was at home surrounded by his loving family. Dick was an avid bingo and card player, sportsman and Buffalo Bills and Yankees fan. He had love for the sky as a pilot. He was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Josephine Starks, son, Douglas and two brothers, Robert and Raymond. Dick is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Janet and children; Stephen and Connie Starks, Joseph and Jennifer Starks, Dennis Starks, Thomas Starks, Jerry and Brenda Starks, Linda and Joseph Van Etten and three stepsons, John Pilipovic, James and Ranee Pilipovic, Brien and Rosemary Pilipovic and many treasured grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also leaves behind brothers; David and Donna Starks, Gene and Cathy Starks, sisters; Shirley and Don Hunt, Gloria Singer, Joanne Smith, sister-in-law, Jane Starks and many nieces and nephews. He retired from Kason Industries after 30 years of service. He was a volunteer of the West Colesville Fire Department and a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Dick’s family would like to thank Lourdes Hospice for all their wonderful help and guidance throughout his illness. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm, Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton with the Reverend Aaron Schian officiating.
