Leonore Ferber

Leonore Ferber of Albany formerly of Vestal   Our beloved mother and grandmother, Leonore Ferber, 79, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2011. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 47 years, Harold. Leonore is survived by her children, Robert Ferber and his partner, Charles Marshall, Springfield, Missouri and Laura Hazen, Pittsfield, Massachusetts, and treasured grandson, Joshua Hazen, Pittsfield, Massachusetts. She leaves behind cousins, Elliott and Harriett Goldberg and family, Alan and Marsha Goldberg and family, Gail and Stanley Jacobs and family and Raye and Ed Rose and family, all of Baltimore, Maryland. Leonore worked until retirement as a special education teacher at the Binghamton Psychiatric Center. She was a longtime member of Temple Israel of Vestal and a member of the JCC Friendship Club. She volunteered her time generously at both Lourdes Hospital and the Jewish Community Center. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, November  17, 2011 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton with Rabbi Tziona Szajman officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the time of services. Interment will follow services in Temple Israel Conklin Cemetery.
