Harold Ferber, 80, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2011. He was a wonderful father and husband. Harold is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Leonore and their children, Robert Ferber and his partner, Charles Marshall, Springfield, Missouri and Laura Hazen, Pittsfield, Massachusetts, and treasured grandson, Joshua Hazen, Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
Harold was a veteran of the United States Army serving his country during the Korean War. He worked retail for most of his life and was a furniture buyer for Macy’s (Manhattan) and Fowler’s (Binghamton) and eventually, the owner of Kaplan’s Deli in Vestal. Harold was a longtime member of Temple Israel of Vestal.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 pm, Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton with Rabbi Tziona Szajman officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:30 pm until the time of services. Interment will follow services in Temple Israel Conklin Cemetery.
