Neal Robert Ronk

Neal Robert Ronk of Conklin   Neal Robert Ronk, 87, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2011. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Lizzie Ronk and five brothers and six sisters. Neal is survived by his wife of 63 year, Eleanor and daughter, Dianne Ronk and her husband, Dave Buelow, El Granada, Ca., sister-in-law, Gloria Bastian, Hagerstown, Md. and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Neal was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving his county during World War II.   He retired as a foreman from Phillips Foundry after 50 years. He was a life member of the Conklin Volunteer Fire Department, fifty one year member of the American Legion currently belonging to Post #1645, Binghamton and member of the VFW Post #478, Binghamton. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton with the Reverend Diane Prentice officiating. Neal will be interred with military honors in Conklin Cemetery in the spring. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Tuesday, February 15, 2011.
