Bernard "Bernie" Decker

Bernard (Bernie) Decker of Johnson City   Bernard W. Decker, 85, passed away Friday, January 21, 2011. He was predeceased by his wife, Pearl Pembridge Decker, parents, Garth and Harriet Decker and sister, Lillian Braind. Bernie is survived by his children, Russell and Pat Decker, San Antonio, Tx., Colette and Art Siegel, Killingworth, Ct., Eric Decker, Binghamton, Kent Decker, DeFuniak Springs, Fla., Tim and Karen Decker, Newburgh, NY, and Troy and Lisa Decker, Binghamton; treasured gKrandchildren; Kristin Wirtz, Jennifer Brady, Matthew Decker, Michael Decker, Jamie Decker, Brian and Aimee Siegel, Daniel Siegel, Evan Siegel, Andrew Decker, Nicole Decker, Steven Decker, Daniel Decker, Cassarah Decker, Leigha Decker, Kyle Decker, Anna Decker and Kevin Decker and 4 great grandchildren, Alexis, Owen, Liam and Sarah. He leaves behind brother, Frank B. Decker, Kirkwood and significant other, Delores Thayne, Binghamton. Bernie was a veteran of the US Army, serving his country during World War II. He was a retiree of the Teamsters Union #693 and was employed by Kroehler Furniture. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm, Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at the Endwell United Methodist Church, 3301 Watson Boulevard, Endwell with the Reverends Jan Marsi  and Jose Valencia co-officiating. Interment in Vestal Hills Memorial Park will be private. Family will receive friends Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Memorial contributions in Bernie's name may be made to the Endwell United Methodist Church, 3301 Watson Blvd., Endwell, NY 13760.
